Food Services Assistant
Education: High School education or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of restaurant, institutional or school food service experience is preferred. Hospital or nursing home food service experience is a plus.
The Food Service Assistant prepares food for service to patients, cafeteria, catered events and for vending machines. Foods are then portioned and assembled on patient trays, served in the cafeteria or to attendees of catered events or stocked in vending machines. Tasks concerned with maintaining and cleaning the department, food production and service equipment, vending equipment and ware washing are assigned to Food Service Assistants.
