Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
St. Claire HealthCare’s comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation unit, conveniently located on the 5th floor of St. Clarie Regional Medical Center, is ideal for patients who require a combination of physical, occupational, and speech therapies because of life-changing illnesses or accidents.
St. Claire HealthCare’s inpatient rehabilitation unit specializes in providing patients the care they need to achieve the quickest, most complete recovery possible.
Our team of medical and rehabilitation experts design custom rehabilitation programs for each patient to get them back home or to the next level of care as quickly as possible. In fact, our success rate for getting patients back home is higher than state and national averages.
Our patients receive:
- Personalized attention and treatment plans customized to each patients’ condition and goals
- Access to a dedicated on-site rehabilitation physician
- Intensive therapy services for both younger and older adults including physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Physical and emotional support to achieve maximum recovery
We provide two levels of care to meet your rehab needs:
Acute Inpatient RehabilitationPatients admitted for acute inpatient rehabilitation require a combination of intensive therapy services in a hospital setting. Common conditions needing inpatient rehabilitation include, but are not limited to, stroke, head or spinal cord injuries, major trauma, amputation, hip fractures, and other neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Skilled Nursing Care
Skilled nursing care is a perfect fit for patients that need extra rehabilitation and training after an acute hospital stay, but before going home. Patients with weakness, decreased ability to walk or maintain balance, or decreased ability to participate safely in self-care and regular activities following a hospitalization, may be a candidate for this service.
“Rehabilitation is more than working to regain physical function. It’s also learning to cope with new physical and emotional challenges as well as readjusting to everyday life.”
