St. Claire HealthCare Continues to Offer Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing

St. Claire HealthCare Continues to Offer Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing

nurses outside St. Claire HealthCare continues to offer free drive-thru COVID-19 testing to anyone who wants to be tested, regardless of whether or not you may be experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus.

“Keeping our community healthy and safe is a top priority for us,” said Will Melahn, MD, SCH Chief Medical Officer. “As our state begins to open back up, it’s important we continue to offer testing to identify asymptomatic individuals in our community who could unknowingly spread COVID-19.”

In addition to drive-thru testing, SCH has sent teams out to provide testing to staff and residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, shelters, and more throughout the region.

“Providing universal screening for staff and residents of these facilities is crucial to protect the most vulnerable in our communities and slow the spread of COVID-19,” Melahn added.

According to Melahn, SCH will continue to offer COVID-19 testing as long as it’s needed.

Drive-thru specimen collection is being conducted just outside the St. Claire Medical Pavilion in Morehead. To access the drive-thru testing center, enter the St. Claire HealthCare campus from KY-32 (Flemingsburg Road) near McDonald’s. Signs will guide you to the testing center beyond that point.

Pre-screening and appointments are required. The screening can be completed online at www.st-claire.org/covidscreening or by calling 606.780.5227. After your screening, a member of the St. Claire team will contact you by phone to schedule your testing appointment. Appointments are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7 AM to 2 PM, and Noon to 7 PM on Wednesdays.
