St. Claire Regional (SCR) recently achieved a Stage 6 status in the HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adoption ModelSM – known as ENRAM. This eight-step analysis measures hospitals level of electronic medical record advances and tracks progress against other healthcare organizations across the country.

“Receiving a Stage 6 designation places SCR in the top 14% of all hospitals in the United States in terms of electronic medical record advancement,” according to HIMSS Analytics Board Chairman and HIMSS President & CEO, H. Stephen Lieber, CAE. “We know that it takes executive commitment, support and a great team of healthcare professionals to achieve this pinnacle level.”

On July 1, 2014, SCR will launch the MyHealth patient portal, which will provide SCR patients with electronic access to their medical health records including the ability to view their lab and diagnostic imaging reports, medical visit history and scheduled appointments. And, soon within following months patients will be able to schedule appointments and view and pay medical bills.

“The EMRAMSM model is a tool that has been used for several years in the healthcare information technology industry to measure the adoption of electronic records. Achieving HIMSS Analytics EMRAMSM Stage 6 is a tribute to the staff at St. Claire Regional who has worked so hard in the past few years to implement electronic medical records.”
