UK St. Claire CFO Appointed to MSU Board of Regents

MOREHEAD, Ky. – UK St. Claire is pleased to announce that Chief Financial Officer, Chris McClurg, has been appointed to serve on the Morehead State University (MSU) Board of Regents.

A longtime leader in health care finance, McClurg has dedicated his career to strengthening the financial foundations of rural health systems while ensuring patient care remains at the center of decision-making. At UK St. Claire, he oversees financial strategy and planning, helping the organization deliver high-quality care across Northeastern Kentucky.

“Chris is not only a highly respected executive within our organization, he is also deeply invested in the success of this region,” said Donald H. Lloyd, II, President/CEO of UK St. Claire. “His service on MSU’s Board of Regents will reflect both his professional expertise and his personal commitment to advancing education and opportunity in the communities we serve.”

McClurg earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from MSU and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

In addition to his professional achievements, McClurg serves on the Kentucky Medicaid Technical Advisory Committee and has held leadership positions with the Kentucky Primary Care Association and the Kentucky Chapter of HFMA.

“Looking ahead, my goal is to continue strengthening the University’s capacity to serve not only the immediate region but also the broader needs of the Commonwealth, anticipating future challenges, fostering innovation, and expanding access to education and opportunity,” said McClurg, on his appointment.

McClurg fills the seat of outgoing Regent Adam Hinton, whose term ended in June 2025. McClurg’s term will extend through 2031.
