Community Gathers in Celebration of St. Claire HealthCare Urgent Care – Hampton Way Dedication & Ribbon Cutting

St. Claire HealthCare invited members of the community and the surrounding Morehead area to celebrate the Dedication and Ribbon Cutting of the new St. Claire Urgent Care – Hampton Way.

Guests had the opportunity to tour the new facility, meet with staff and providers of both SCH Urgent Care locations in Morehead, and enjoy refreshments and special mementos in honor of the celebration. Special guest speakers for the event included Richard White, Kentucky State Representative for District 99; Harry Clark, Rowan County Judge Executive; Rocky Adkins, Senior Advisor to Governor Andy Beshear; and Sr. Marla Monahan, SND, Chair, SCH Board of Directors.

“About this time twelve months ago, we cut the ribbon on what we said was our temporary location. Over the last twelve months, our Urgent Care team has had over 30,000 patient care visits, with over one-third coming from outside counties,” stated Mark Rhodes, VP of St. Claire Medical Group. “Because of our team’s success and our community’s response, today, we are thrilled to say we are cutting the ribbon on our second location.”

The new facility, located at 431 Hampton Way in Morehead, is now open to care for patients, offers after-hours walk-in care, and features on-site laboratory and radiology services for your added convenience, all of which are also still offered at the SCH Urgent Care Center at 1028 East Main Street in Morehead. In addition, the Hampton Way location also houses SCH’s occupational medicine program, with physical therapy to be added at a later date.

Care is now available at both facilities Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM – no appointment necessary.

”This is just one of many strategic investments that St. Claire has made, and will be making in the future, to meet the needs of our patients throughout the region,” said Donald H. Llyod, II, President/CEO of St. Claire HealthCare. “We’re blessed to serve the people of Morehead and Rowan County and the entire region.”

The new facility was a nearly $4 million capital investment that will employ 25-30 staff with an average annual wage of approximately $86,000.
