Spence Announced as Director, Specialty Practices for St. Claire HealthCare

St. Claire HealthCare is pleased to announce the promotion of McKenna Spence to Director, Specialty Practices, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Pain Management.

Spence has been with SCH since 2014 when she started as a unit secretary. Since then she has held multiple roles with patient support services, patient experience, and within the clinics, most recently as the clinic manager of aesthetics, orthopaedics, pre-admission testing, and urology.

In her new role, Spence will be responsible for the oversight of all activities impacting patient care delivery in practices. She will directly supervise the clinic managers and work with them on the development of talented and high functioning teams. She works in a dyad relationship with the Medical Director of Specialty Practices, Thadis Cox, MD, to provide leadership for all specialty practices.

“Our specialty practices serve such a diverse patient population and we continue to grow all the time,” Spence stated. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work in this new capacity and to be part of strengthening our community through the delivery of quality, patient-centered healthcare services.”

Spence earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morehead State University and her master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University. She is also certified in Lean Six Sigma and Project Management.
