Endowment Established in Memory of Dr. George “Mac” Luckey

The St. Claire HealthCare Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Dr. George “Mac” Luckey Oncology Research Endowment. This fund will support high-priority initiatives tied to oncology research through the Office of Clinical Research, under the guidance of Michael Brunet, Ph.D., ATC, Director of Clinical Research.

In January, Dr. Sue Luckey, wife of the late Dr. Mac Luckey, created this endowment to honor the memory of her husband who was a lifelong educator and researcher as well as an oncology patient at St. Claire.

“This is exactly the kind of project that Mac would have championed,” said Dr. Sue Luckey. “He would have been so pleased to know that oncology research with national ties is being done right here at St. Claire.”

“The St. Claire HealthCare Foundation is extremely grateful for Dr. Luckey’s generosity. Her contributions will be the springboard for many exciting and meaningful advances in oncology research,” said Mindy Highley, Executive Director, Community Engagement & Philanthropy.
