St. Claire HealthCare Announces New Director of Pastoral Care

St. Claire HealthCare is proud to welcome Jason Caudill as the new Director of Pastoral Care.

In this role, Caudill will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of a continuum of pastoral services aimed at meeting patient needs and the goals and objectives of St. Claire HealthCare, the Pastoral Care Department, and Hospice. He will also assess the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families of patients, and employees and provide pastoral support as needed.

Originally from Elliott County, Caudill left to serve in the Army. Afterward, he served in various ministry roles throughout Eastern Kentucky. He is an ordained bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and holds an ecclesiastical endorsement as a clinical chaplain with the Church of God Chaplain’s Commission.

“I am excited to be stepping into my new role as Director of Pastoral Care with St. Claire HealthCare and to continue serving the wonderful people of Eastern Kentucky,” said Caudill. “It’s good to be back home.”

Caudill has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, two with the Lexington VA Health Care System in Lexington, Kentucky, and two with St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He is also currently pursuing board certification with The Board of Chaplaincy Certification, Inc. and the National Association of VA Chaplains (NAVAC).

He holds a bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology with an emphasis in psychology from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is currently pursuing a doctorate, also from Liberty University.
