St. Claire HealthCare Urgent Treatment Center Announces Opening Date and Introduces Brandon Pace, MD, as Medical Director

The St. Claire HealthCare Urgent Treatment Center will be open and ready to serve the St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) service region at 8 AM on Thursday, March 17!

Take the opportunity to meet the urgent care team and celebrate the grand opening of the new service from 2 to 4 PM on Thursday, March 17. Enjoy refreshments, meet the providers, learn all about what the St. Claire Urgent Treatment Center has to offer, and take home a free gift!

The opening of the Urgent Treatment Center will add a new role to current SCH Emergency Physician, Brandon Pace, MD. Dr. Pace has been named Medical Director, Urgent Treatment Center, and will oversee operations at the new facility.

Dr. Pace has been a provider at SCH since 2013. He grew up in Harlan, KY, and was drawn to Morehead’s small-town, rural feel after spending time in the area with his grandfather, a former ROTC leader at Morehead State University. He thought the area seemed familiar and reminded him of home.

“I chose to complete my undergrad degree at Morehead State because of their exceptional reputation in science education,” says Dr. Pace. “I continued my education at Quillen College of Medicine, completed my residency at the University of Kentucky in emergency medicine, started ‘moonlighting’ at SCH and I’ve been here ever since.”

Dr. Pace is ready to help SCH bring new services into the community, with the Urgent Treatment Center filling a gap the Morehead area has been missing.

“The more opportunities SCH can provide for our patients, the better. That’s what makes me so excited about opening a new Urgent Treatment Center in our area,” says Dr. Pace. “The extended hours of care we will be able to offer is going to be a great benefit for our community, especially with being open on Sundays.”

The St. Claire HealthCare Urgent Treatment Center will be located at the St. Claire Outpatient Center (1028 East Main St., Morehead, KY, 40351). Care will be available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday from Noon to 4 PM.
