Hardin and Overall Recognized with Sisters of Notre Dame Awards

UK St. Claire (SCH) medical staff Jennifer Hardin, PA-C, HomeCare Services Director, and Philip Overall, MD, Medical Director for Emergency Department and Pandemic Response received honors during the 2022 Sisters of Notre Dame National Network Awards.

Hardin was awarded the Gospel Witness Award, which recognizes those who reflect and nurture the Notre Dame charism, spirit, and mission within their professional communities and among all they minister. Recipients of this award contribute to the witness of Jesus’ spirit of compassion, hope, and joy, especially to those who experience poverty in its many forms.

“Jennifer leads with a sense of compassion and mission much like the Good Samaritan,” stated Travis Bailey, Senior VP, Administration. “She and her team will venture down or cross any road to care for those in need.”

As the leader of the Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative teams, Hardin shows true compassion and dedication to all she serves. During the height of the pandemic, she and her team created an innovative COVID Care at Home program to aid with the increase in COVID cases, as well as assisting in the hospital whenever possible.

Overall was awarded the Transformative Leadership Award, given to those that are a catalyst for growth, inspire the hearts, and transform the lives of those to whom they minister. Recipients inspire hope and excellence as they lead others to a fuller life.

“Overall’s compassion and heart for our mission and transformative leadership has inspired his staff in their work in effectively treating and compassionately caring for our patients,” stated Donald H. Lloyd, II, SCH President/CEO.

Overall has worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of both patients and staff during the trying times of the pandemic. While leading the Emergency Department (ED) and the COVID pandemic response, he helped to implement extra precautionary features and devices.

Congratulations to these admirable individuals for receiving this well-deserved recognition for the contributions they have made to UK St. Claire and the communities it serves.
