St. Claire Hosts Community Health Fair in Sandy Hook

St. Claire Hosts Community Health Fair in Sandy Hook

Yesterday, St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) started a health fair tour of their rural clinics by hosting a Community Health Fair in Sandy Hook.

“I am excited to announce the Community Health Fair held at the Sandy Hook Clinic location was a success,” said Bookie Ginter, Director of Primary Care for SCH. “Our Primary Care Team would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our fellow colleagues and clinical team members for providing free health screenings, patient resources, educational materials, and vaccine administration.”

Members of several departments from the health system gathered in Sandy Hook to share their expertise. People from the community were able to get their glucose and cholesterol levels tested, as well as check their pulmonary health and get other valuable medical information. Screenings such as these can be life-saving, giving important medical insight within minutes.

“St. Claire is dedicated to providing healthcare to our rural communities and committed to serving the people of Eastern Kentucky through our healing ministry,” stated Ginter.

SCH will continue to host health fairs at their rural clinics in Olive Hill, Owingsville, and Frenchburg throughout the next month. The next health fair will be held on Thursday, July 21, at the Primary Care in Olive Hill from 10 AM – 2 PM.
