Owingsville Community Health Fair Hosted by St. Claire

Yesterday, St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) continued the summer health fair tour of their rural clinics by hosting a Community Health Fair in Owingsville.

“Our Owingsville clinic was happy to host the health fair,” said Alicia Swim, RN, Clinic Manager. “We strive to fulfill our commitment to the people of Eastern Kentucky and look forward to more opportunities to reach the community in efforts to improve their health and wellness. Thanks to everyone who attended and assisted in the health fair!”

Several areas from within the healthcare system gathered to provide screenings on vital health information, such as blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol levels. People from the community also received information on surgical and non-surgical weight loss options, social services, medical equipment and supplies, and more. Events such as these can be life-saving, giving important medical insight within minutes.

SCH’s next health fair will be held on Thursday, August 4, at St. Claire HealthCare – Frenchburg from 11 AM – 2 PM. The Frechburg clinic is located at 732 Hwy. 32.
