Watts Named Assistant Nurse Manager for St. Claire HealthCare’s Emergency Department

St. Claire HealthCare is excited to introduce Jordan Watts, RN, as the new Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department (ED).

Watts, originally from Hyden, Kentucky worked as an EMT for four years prior to becoming a nurse. He joined SCH in 2017 as a patient care technician and nurse extern while he pursued his associate degree in nursing. He has continued to further his education and will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

“I chose to work at St. Claire because we are like a family here. We are more than just colleagues, you get to feel like you are part of a group that gets to help people and contribute to the community,” said Watts. “As the new assistant manager, I want the ED to provide the best care to the community we can by using evidence-based practice and the most up-to-date research.”

As the Assistant Nurse Manager, Watts will help oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the ED. He will work to ensure that both the internal and external needs of the ED patients are met, and work to anticipate future needs to provide a high level of care given to the patients of the healthcare system.
