St. Claire Hosts Community Health Fair in Frenchburg

Yesterday, St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) wrapped up its summer tour of community health fairs at our rural clinic in Frenchburg.

“We feel privileged to be allowed to work in this community,” said Wendy Whitt, Clinic Manager for SCH – Frenchburg. “The health fair was a give back to the patients and they enjoyed it so much, as did the clinic staff. It was nice to offer the patients the opportunity, in a free and open environment, to talk, ask questions, sample snacks, and get their blood sugar and cholesterol checked, all for free. It was a wonderful experience for everyone!”

Over the last several weeks, SCH has toured its rural clinics offering free health screenings. In rural areas, where it can sometimes be difficult to find the care you require, St. Claire is dedicated to giving people access to what they need. Screenings, such as those offered at the health fairs, can be life-saving, giving important medical insight within minutes. It is our mission, and our privilege, to deliver our healing ministry to the people of Eastern Kentucky.
