UK St. Claire (SCH) is proud to announce Elizabeth Crane, MS, RD, LD, has been named Clinical Nutrition Manager.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky’s Master of Science in Dietetics and Hospitality Management program, Crane will focus on developing strategic goals for clinical nutrition and identifying new opportunities to improve patient care and quality outcomes.
“As a dietician, I am passionate about the role nutrition plays in the medical field. I love sharing my passion with my patients in hopes they can take that knowledge and make a lasting change,” said Crane.
Crane, along with clinical dieticians at SCH, will assess the nutritional status and needs of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She will follow patients through their care to monitor for additional interventions or to stabilize their nutrition status.
Before joining the UK St. Claire team in January 2021, Crane managed the nutrition care and services for 200+ patients through a home health care program and most recently managed clinical nutrition for a long-term/short-term rehabilitation system with 328 beds located across six campuses.
“Elizabeth brings multiple years of experience in a variety of healthcare settings to the table,” said Lee Ann O’Bryan, SCH VP/Chief Ancillary Officer. “We are excited for Elizabeth and our clinical nutrition team to continue growing our services and work with our healthcare providers to best utilize clinical nutrition in their services.”
