UK St. Claire Recognizes Nursing Staff with Clinical Advancement Program

UK St. Claire (SCH) encourages growth and recognizes the need for advancement within every career path throughout the enterprise. We are excited to announce that members of our nursing staff are now given an opportunity to progress in their career with the new Clinical Advancement Program, a career ladder that identifies four levels of clinical nurses and rewards them for their professional growth.

“We have exceptional nurses here at SCH, so we wanted to make sure to properly acknowledge their hard work and dedication. The intent of this program is to recognize those nursing staff who excel beyond their basic role expectations throughout every shift,” said Lerae Wilson, DNP, SCH VP of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer.

Nurses are accepted into the Clinical Advancement Program through an application process that takes place every January and July. Our first round of applicants yielded one nurse into level III and five into level IV.

We are proud to announce the following recipients:

Level III - Heather O'Hara, BSN, RN

Level IV - Angie Johnson, BSN, RNC-OB, IBCLC; Joelle Craft, BSN, RN, CCRN; Lara Turner, BSN, RN, SANE; Nancy Brown, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM; and Tina Roberts, RN, RNC-OB

Join us as we congratulate these nurses and encourage our staff to continue to grow and excel alongside our growing health system!“These ladies are true examples of what a St. Claire nurse is and should be. They continue to show compassionate, connected care to every patient that comes through our doors,” said Dr. Wilson. “We have a great team at SCH, so I know this program will continue to grow at a steady rate, filled with extraordinary caring individuals that share a love for the profession of nursing.”
