St. Claire HealthCare Expands Access at Primary Care Clinics

St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, July 13, our primary care clinics in Frenchburg, Morehead, Olive Hill, Owingsville, and Sandy Hook will relaunch with expanded patient access.

“While our primary care clinics have been open to serve our patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to temporarily scale back operations,” said Donald H. Lloyd, SCH President/CEO. “As we began planning to relaunch our clinics, it was important for us to enhance the patient experience at each location, and improving access was key. We know when you’re sick, you don’t want to wait weeks to see a doctor. Now, you don’t have to.”

By reallocating and consolidating resources, and relocating some healthcare providers, St. Claire HealthCare can now offer patients same-day or next-day appointments from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, at all of its primary care clinics.

(NOTE: Dr. Banks and Dr. Moore will be splitting their schedules between two clinic locations each week.)

SCH’s primary care clinics provide preventative, acute, chronic, and minor injury care for the entire family … from annual checkups and immunizations to comprehensive care for chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease. Many providers offer well-woman visits and OB services as well as newborn and well-child visits. St. Claire’s clinics in Frenchburg and Morehead also provide a full range of dental services.

“We are excited to see more and more of our patients returning to our clinics for in-person care,” said Lloyd. “We want everyone to feel comfortable knowing our clinics and our hospital are safe. Measures are in place at all SCH locations to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff. In addition to strict infection control protocols, we’re following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Kentucky Department of Public Health (KDP) recommendations which include daily temperature and symptom checks for all staff.”

SCH requires patients to wear a mask throughout their visit and asks everyone to practice proper social distancing in all facilities. Additionally, SCH is reducing the number of people in waiting areas by adjusting scheduling and reducing visitors and nonessential family members who accompany patients for their visit.

For those who aren’t ready to return to the clinic for an in-person visit, St. Claire will continue to offer virtual visits. Virtual visits allow patients to connect with healthcare providers at any location from the comfort of their homes. Virtual curbside visits are also offered for those who don’t have a mobile device or just aren’t comfortable with technology.
