KSP Mobile Substance Abuse Education Exhibit is Coming to St. Claire

St. Claire HealthCare is excited to announce that the Kentucky State Police's Mobile Substance Abuse Education Exhibit will be making a stop at St. Claire!

The 30-foot trailer, designed to inform about the devastating effects of substance abuse, features 14 flat screen monitors and a one touch-screen monitor that present video messages about meth, heroin, marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco. The videos include actual meth users who tell their real-life stories illustrated by before-and-after images that show the dramatic visual progression of their drug abuse. The exhibit also makes use of two showcase displays to highlight examples of a variety of drug paraphernalia and meth-related items.

“This innovative exhibit is designed to raise awareness on many levels – addiction, detection, recognition, treatment and, we hope, prevention,” says Sgt. Josh Lawson, commander of the KSP Public Affairs Branch.

The exhibit will be located on St. Claire’s main campus in the parking lot at the corner of Second Street and Allen Avenue on Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to SCH staff as well as the public.
