Camp SMILE returns on September 30, 2023.
Hosted by UK St. Claire Hospice and Morehead State University’s Nursing Program, Camp SMILE is a one-day camp offered to children, between 5-17 years old, who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
Presented by the Morehead Optimist Club, Camp SMILE offers an opportunity for children to interact with other children and heal in a supportive environment.
The campers will spend the day with bereavement counselors who will facilitate a variety of activities to guide the children through feelings of grief and loss. Campers will have access to archery, hiking, crafts, and will receive a free T-shirt.
Camp Smile is offered as a free community service, but space is limited. Applications are required. Apply online today!
