Diksha Kajal, MBBS

Dr. Diksha Kajal is an internal medicine physician and hospitalist at UK St. Claire. Her professional interests include hospital medicine, quality improvement, patient safety and medical education. She is committed to thoughtful, evidence-based care that reflects each patient’s individual needs and promotes a safe, well-coordinated hospital experience.

Dr. Kajal earned her medical degree from Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College in Pakistan. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Florida State University College of Medicine. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kajal enjoys traveling and cooking for family and friends. She especially enjoys bringing people together through food and believes a good meal can be its own kind of comfort and connection.

Personal Statement

My philosophy is that excellent hospital care should be both clinically rigorous and deeply personal. Being hospitalized can be one of the most difficult times in a patient’s life, and I believe patients and their families should feel informed, heard and involved throughout their care. 

I approach each patient with careful clinical judgment, clear communication, and respect for their individual goals and values. I also value close collaboration with nurses, specialists and the broader healthcare team; I recognize that the best outcomes are achieved through a coordinated, team-based approach. I am committed to providing compassionate, thoughtful and patient-centered care throughout each hospitalization.
