UK St. Claire Awards over $76,500 in Scholarships

MOREHEAD, Ky.– UK St. Claire is proud to announce that $76,500 has been awarded in scholarships this month to promising scholars pursuing education in the health care field. This funding will provide 31 area students with financial support during the 2025-26 academic year as they continue their educational careers.

“At UK St. Claire, continuing education is a top priority, and we are so grateful to be able to award scholarships to students in our community to help eliminate financial barriers,” said Kayla Harrison, Director of Talent Management at UK St. Claire. “None of this would be possible without our continued partnership with the Sisters of Notre Dame Eastern Kentucky Foundation and our generous donors and partners who help us support our region.”

The 2025 scholarship recipients are:

McKinsey Utterback – Dr. Richard W. Carpenter Memorial Scholarship & American Business Systems Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, McKinsey will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Rileigh Perry – Menifee County Health Services Scholarship
A graduate of Menifee County High School, Rileigh will be attending Morehead State University to study Psychology.

Kyleigh Smith – Menifee County Health Services Scholarship
A graduate of Menifee County High School, Kyleigh will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Alana Diehl – Menifee County Health Services Scholarship
A graduate of Menifee County High School, Alana will be attending Morehead State University to study Biomedical Science.

Laney Bledsoe – Sister Mary Jeannette Wess, SND, Scholarship
Laney will be attending Morehead State University to study Psychology.

Sara Paige Weddington – Sister Mary Jeannette Wess, SND, Scholarship
Sara Paige will be attending the University of Kentucky to study Human Health Sciences.

Vanessa Faysal – Sister Mary Jeannette Wess, SND, Scholarship
Vanessa will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Elijah O'Quinn – Sister Mary Jeannette Wess, SND, Scholarship
Elijah will be attending the University of Kentucky to study Human Health Sciences.

Jayden Barker – Sister Mary Jeannette Wess, SND, Scholarship
Jayden will be attending Morehead State University to study Psychology and Biology.

Addison Tiller – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of East Carter High School, Addison will be attending Transylvania University to study Biology/Pre-med.

Macy Perkins – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Fleming County High School, Macy will be attending Morehead State University to study Biomedical Science.

Morgan Perry – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Morgan will be attending Maysville Community and Technical College to study Nursing.

Maci Adkins – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Maci will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Macey Daniel – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Macey will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Makayla Ferguson – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Makayla will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Abigail Conley – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Abigail will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Addison Hargis – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Addison will be attending Morehead State University to study Nursing.

Carlie Hinken – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Carlie will be attending the University of Kentucky to study Political Science & Health Advocacy.

Malana Hamm – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Malana will be attending Transylvania University to study Pre-Occupational Therapy.

Lana Fraley – St. Claire Auxiliary Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Lana will be attending Marshall University to study Health Science.

Jessica Jones – Stock Yards Bank Health Care Scholarship
A graduate of Rowan County High School, Jessica will be attending the University of Kentucky to study Neuroscience.

Dylan James – Stock Yards Bank Health Care Scholarship
A graduate of Elliott County High School, Dylan will be attending Morehead State University to study Psychology.

Brooklyn Reed – The Citizens Bank Health Care Scholarship
A graduate of Bath County High School, Brooklyn will be attending Morehead State University to study Pharmacy.

Akyla Fannin – Alpha Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship
A graduate of Morgan County High School, Akyla will be attending Morehead State University to study Exercise Science.

Andrew Noble – Whitaker Bank Health Care Scholarship
A graduate of Lewis County High School, Andrew will be attending Morehead State University to study Biomedical Science.

Matthew Carpenter – C. Louise Caudill Memorial in Honor of Susie Halbleib
Matthew will be attending Morehead State University to study Exercise Science.

Kiyeanna Evans – C. Louise Caudill Memorial in Honor of Susie Halbleib
A graduate of Lewis County High School, Kiyeanna will be attending Maysville Community and Technical College to study Nursing.

Emilee Gee – Makhija Scholarship Endowment
Emilee will be attending Kentucky Christian University to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN/FNP).

Autumn Osborne – Richard J. Bausch Family Scholarship
A graduate of Elliott County High School, Autumn will be attending Morehead State University to study Pre-Med.

Kailey Hamilton – Richard J. Bausch Family Scholarship
Kailey is attending Morehead State University pursuing Pre-Med studies.

UK St. Claire includes a growing medical staff of more than 125 physicians and nearly 70 advanced practice professionals representing more than 30 medical specialties. It consists of the hospital, seven primary care locations located within five counties, a multi-specialty medical pavilion, two urgent care centers, a pediatrics clinic, as well as a retail pharmacy, counseling center, medical equipment and supply store, and an outpatient center. Additionally, UK St. Claire provides home health and hospice services in eight counties.
