St. Claire HealthCare Supports Christian Social Service Center in Bath County

St. Claire HealthCare is honored to support community organizations throughout the service region in their efforts to support the people of eastern Kentucky. In February 2023, Christian Social Service Center, Inc. lost their facility to a fire and has had to find alternative ways to continue to support residents in Bath and Menifee Counties since that time. Prior to the loss, nearly 7,000 people were served by the organization annually.

At a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, SCH President/CEO Donald H. Lloyd, II, presented Marcelle Doggett, Director of Christian Social Service Center, with a $100,000 check to assist in the rebuilding process as the group begins construction of a new facility. This funding is representative of proceeds raised during St. Claire’s Annual Benefit Golf Outing last fall.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to start rebuilding our facility and continue to serve the people of Bath County,” said Marcelle Doggett. “If it were not for the gracious help from St. Claire, we would not have been able to do this.”

“The support Christian Social Service Center provides to people in need is indescribable,” said Lloyd. “St. Claire is honored to work with them and excited to see the continued difference they make in their community.”
