Behavioral Health Unit

St. Claire HealthCare’s behavioral health unit has 20 inpatient beds devoted to short-term care. Located within St. Claire Regional Medical Center, the unit offers patients excellent psychiatric services within the security and convenience of a full-service hospital. Patients will receive 24-hour monitoring and supervision.

We will work with you to understand your concerns, and provide the services that will most benefit you at this difficult time. Our treatment team will design an individualized care plan and work with you throughout your stay to help you improve your life situation in a warm, supportive environment.

Your treatment plan will guide which therapeutic activities and/or medications are best for you. You treatment services may include:

  • Group Activities, Group Therapy and Education Groups
  • Family and Couples Therapy
  • Medication

Admissions
Admissions are accepted 24 hours a day. Referrals may be made by physicians, psychologists, social workers, mental health professionals, social service agencies, family members or friends.

To see if admission to the Behavioral Health Unit is appropriate, please call 606.783.6661. A member of the clinical team will ask a series of questions and that information will be reviewed the attending psychiatrist. The final decision regarding admission is made by a psychiatrist.
