Wendy Fletcher, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, St. Claire HealthCare’s Clinical Director of Advanced Practice, was recently elected by her peers to serve as President of the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. She assumed the office on April 27 in Covington, Kentucky.
KANPNM is the state’s largest trade organization for advanced practice nurses, empowering its members to provide quality, accessible, and compassionate healthcare through education, leadership, and advocacy.
Dr. Fletcher serves on the KY GoodHelp ACO Board of Directors and the KY Medicaid Nursing Technical Advisory Committee. She is a two-time Past President and the longest-sitting elected member of the Board of the KY Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, KANPNM’s sister organization.
“I, like KANPNM’s 2,000+ members, am committed to high quality, evidence-based patient-centered care,” says Fletcher. “I believe patients have a choice in who provides their care and I am an advocate for all health care professionals to work at the very top of their education, certification, and licensure to deliver care and serve the needs of their patients. That’s why being elected to lead this dedicated group of advanced practice nurses is both an honor and privilege, and such a labor of love.”
