MOREHEAD, Ky. – Organizers of the St. Claire Foundation Charity Golf Outing hope the only shower that day will be the sight of up to 1,000 golf balls raining down on a target during the Foundation’s inaugural Golf Ball Drop Raffle.
The drop, sponsored by Fleming-Mason Energy, will take place at lunchtime during the Sept. 11 golf outing at Eagle Trace Golf Course.
Numbered golf balls will be dropped from a Fleming-Mason Energy bucket truck onto a target. The owner of the first ball into the hole (or nearest to it) will win half of the raffle pot (up to $5,000).
The rest of the proceeds will assist St. Claire Regional with preparations for a new medical office building to combine the health care providers and services of Cave Run Surgical Specialists and Morehead Medical Specialists.
Chances are $10 each and can be requested by contacting St. Claire Foundation Executive Director Tom Lewis at (606) 783-6511 or email@example.com or by visiting www.st-claire.org/golfballdrop. Online sales will close on Sept. 10 at noon EDT.
“We’re limiting raffle sales to 1,000 chances, so we encourage people to purchase their chances as soon as possible,” Lewis said. “Assigned raffle numbers will be emailed to participants, and they don’t have to play in the golf outing or even be present to win. The winner will be notified.”
Chances are nonrefundable.
