“Looking to the Horizon” is the theme of the St. Claire Foundation’s 2016 Annual Fundraising Appeal, which is being launched this week.
“Thanks in large part to our community’s support, St. Claire Regional (SCR) continues to grow and improve,” said St. Claire Foundation Executive Director Tom Lewis. “Our future is bright.”
The goal for the Foundation’s 2016 campaign is $250,000, Lewis said.
Gifts received during the campaign can be designated by donors for a variety of purposes and needs, ranging from charity care for the uninsured and underinsured, to educational programs, to new equipment needs. SCR is also preparing to break ground for a new $26 million medical services pavilion adjacent to the medical center.
“We consider ourselves blessed, as roughly 60 rural hospitals have closed since 2010 and another 280 are at risk of closing,” Lewis said. “We’re not bragging; we’re humbled and thankful, because we know that the ongoing generosity of our community is an integral reason that our horizon is bright.”
“St. Claire Regional’s legacy is one of reciprocating community support,” Lewis said. “Everyone deserves excellent medical care, and the support of our community is essential for us to continue to evolve as the region’s leading rural healthcare provider.”
