Prepare for the Great American Smokeout at the November 2 Healthy Living Series Event

St. Claire Regional (SCR) Family Medical Supply is hosting a healthy living event on Wednesday, November 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to help individuals prepare to participate in the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout.

St. Claire Regional will offer free smoking cessation educational information and the following general health screenings: blood pressure, cholesterol, iStep foot analysis, glucose, oxygen saturation, pulmonary function and pulse rate. SCR physician, Dr. Ann Colbert, will review screening results and discuss health questions with participants.

In addition, information on services and programs will be provided by SCR Hospice & Palliative Care, SCR Home Health, American Cancer Society and Coventry Cares.

The 36th annual Great American Smokeout will take place on November 17 and SCR is encouraging smokers to use the date to plan to quit smoking, or to plan in advance and quit smoking that day.
