Education:Bachelor’s Degree in computer systems, business, healthcare administration or related area required.
Experience: Experience in managing and/or coordinating various types of databases, database management systems, data and data reporting systems. Experience with various reporting tools, such as SQL, MEDITECH, Crystal Reports, etc. A minimum of five (5) years working in a healthcare environment with emphasis on data management and/or information systems is required.
Other: Must have knowledge of executive and management usage of data for business decisions and knowledge of regulatory, agency, accreditation, and similar reporting requirements. Must have understanding of hospital and healthcare environments including the relationships between physicians, hospitals, clinics, regulatory agencies, accreditation agencies, etc.
The incumbent is responsible for simultaneously coordinating multiple databases and systems to provide data for business analysis, management decision-making, governmental reporting, accreditation reporting, etc. The incumbent is responsible for determining information system needs to meet necessary (i. e. government and Joint Commission) reporting requirements and work with others to ensure needs are met. This position requires interaction with multiple levels of personnel at St. Claire HealthCare, vendors, governmental agencies, accreditation bodies, and various other organizations.
