Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Vocational training preferred.

Experience: None required. Previous medical office experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure: None.

Other Skills: General computer skills including excellent keyboarding and data entry skill level. Must have skills in operating basic office equipment.

Position Summary:

The Registration Clerk performs a variety of responsibilities supporting the patient visit. These responsibilities include managing the initial patient registration process, collecting and processing patient information, preparing medical record for patient encounter, receiving and recording charges and payments, and scheduling patient appointments. Must display a willingness to be cross-trained in the development of competencies in other areas. Must be able to work flexible hours. May occasionally require travel to other sites and attendance at training sessions and required inservices.
