Our volunteers come to us from all walks of life and include retirees, professionals, former patients, college students, and teenagers. They offer their time and energy in the service of others through a variety of roles. Whether greeting or directing patients, running errands, working in the St. Claire Gift Shop, or assisting with fundraising events, our volunteers truly make a difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our staff.
Volunteer opportunities include clerical work, visiting and escorting patients or visitors within our facility, and many other opportunities within specific departments. General volunteers may commit to four or more hours a week or be "on-call" for special projects.
Organizations or groups are encouraged to inquire about special projects, which may involve off-site work by calling the volunteer office at 606.783.6517.
St. Claire HealthCare offers a teen volunteer program for high school students ages 14 to 18. This teen program provides volunteer opportunities that may encourage students to pursue a career in healthcare.
