CAVE RUN SURGICAL SPECIALISTS
Cave Run Surgical Specialists (CRSS), formerly Cave Run Clinic, serves as the multi-specialty surgical group for St. Claire Regional Medical Center. As the region’s major referring surgical group, CRSS performs a high volume of procedures annually.
Cave Run Surgical Specialists integrated its services with SCR, providing more convenience for patients requiring surgical services. Located just over one-quarter mile away from St. Claire Regional, CRSS performs all procedures at the hospital, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. St. Claire Regional’s surgical suites include five state-of-the-art operative suites equipped with the latest in laparoscopic equipment.
The practice was incorporated in 1972 by Warren H. Proudfoot, M.D., a General Surgeon and Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The surgeons at Cave Run Surgical Specialists
foster a close relationship with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine
and the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
