Inpatient Services

From time to time everyone experiences emotional difficulties that impact their quality of life and ability to function in everyday activities. However, when symptoms persist for an extended period of time you or a loved one may need to seek professional help.

St. Claire Regional has provided quality mental health services to the region for over 30 years. With our experience we are able to provide the quality of care that our patients and their families deserve. The Mental Health Unit is located on sixth floor within St. Claire Regional. Our location provides patients complete access to the supportive environment of a full service, state of the art medical center should the need arise. We are licensed for 20 beds and evaluate older adolescents, adults and geriatric patients for admission.

Referrals are received from providers, community agencies, friends, family. Self referrals are also received. Admissions are arranged 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We are here when you need us.

The Mental Health Unit provides a casual homelike environment. Patients are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing during the day. Meals are served in the dining room. Patients are seen by a psychiatrist daily, and group and individual counseling sessions are also offered on a daily basis. A game room, arts and crafts area and TV room are also available for use during leisure time.
