Speech/Language Pathologist

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology.
Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology by the Kentucky State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Job Requirements/Position Summary: Diagnoses, plans, and directs communicative and swallowing efficiency. Determines need for referral to specialists in medicine, dentistry, education, psychology, sensory and related areas. Acts as a consultant to medical and other professional personnel in the basis of speech pathology. The speech-language pathologist creates an environment that is goal-directed, culturally and age specific. |
Surgical Technologist (ST)
Dept: Surgery/Same Day Surgery

Shift: D- M-F + On-call
Qualifications: Education: High school graduate. Graduate of a program in surgical technology preferred.
Experience: One-year previous surgical technologist experience; if not a graduate of technologist program.
Certifications/Licensure: CST preferred.
Job Requirements/Position Summary: The role of the Surgical Technologist is to provide age-specific surgical care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Surgical Technologist demonstrates expertise in the application of sterile and aseptic technique. The technologist combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to assist a physician’s performance of invasive procedures and in support of St. Claire Medical Center’s mission. |
Unit Secretary-TCU

Qualifications: Education: Graduate from high school or equivalent (GED) and successful completion of a medical terminology class.
Experience: None required as a unit secretary, but previous employment within a health care facility where medical terminology usage was required is preferred.
Certifications: Preferred but not required.
Skills: Usage of computers and medical terminology.
Job Requirements/Position Summary: The role of the unit secretary is to provide clerical services for effective and efficient operation of the nursing unit. This clerical service is performed under the leadership of the Chief Unit Secretary with on the job direction from the Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse of the assigned unit. The unit secretary performs their role in a professional supportive manner that exhibits enhancement of the nursing care of the patient and family and in support of St. Claire Medical Center’s mission. |
