    Job Requirements/Position Summary: Responsible for the direction and supervision of the Patient Access staff; works closely with Director, Patient Financial Services as well as Team Leaders in both Patient Access and Patient Financial Services in order to plan short and long-term goals. The Patient Access Manager is responsible for working closely with the Human Resources Department and Patient Financial Services Director regarding interviewing, staffing, disciplinary actions, etc. This includes oversight of scheduling of staff, and reviewing needs so that appropriate staff is scheduled to meet the needs of the hospital on a consistent basis. A process for point of service collections is designed, and employees are thoroughly trained in this process. Performs duties to promote teamwork and supports the Mission Statement of St. Claire. This position requires excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving capabilities, and a positive customer service attitude. Excellent management and supervision skills are needed in order to manage this Department that operates 24/7.
