St. Claire Regional Medical Center owns and operates a system of five Primary Care Clinics that provide a full range of preventive and therapeutic health care, from newborn to geriatrics, including obstetrical services. In addition, emergency services, minor surgery, and colposcopic exams are available. Clinics provide limited on-site lab testing and radiological services. Referrals to some specialty care providers are available through the TeleCare system, allowing for patients to be seen without traveling to the referral site. Other services available on-site or nearby include mental health, speech therapy, diabetes education, nutritional counseling, and social services.
The Family Care Clinic began operation as The Maternity Center in 1985, with services expanded to include primary care in 1999. It is located near St. Claire Regional Medical Center, at 316 W. Second St., in Morehead KY, 40351. We continue to provide the option of obstetrical care provided by our nurse-midwifery staff, and LEEP procedure is available to treat abnormal cervical tissue. Because of the close proximity, patients requiring emergency department care or radiological services are referred to the hospital. The medical staff include:
Craig Burrows, MD, Family Physician
Mary Jane Humkey, MD, Family Physician
Carolyn Moore, MD, Family Physician
Carmela Green, PA-C, Physician Assistant
