St. Claire Foundation Golf Outing

The St. Claire Golf Outing has been a successful annual event since 1995, raising thousands of dollars for St. Claire Care to offset the cost of charity for St. Claire patients. Held on the second Thursday of September, this premier event has garnered recognition by local and state businesses and corporations that give generously to play 18 holes of golf on a perfect fall day at a nationally recognized golf course, Eagle Trace.

This year was the first outing planned and organized by the St. Claire Foundation Special Events Committee. Their additional

leadership and assistance only enhanced the positive golf experience that our sponsors have come to expect. The additional hospitality and service provided by the Foundation Board and Special Events Committee members, coupled with the communication about St. Claire charitable
mission provided by the Community/Public Relations Committee, insured that the outing was again, very successful.

The 2001 Golf Outing raised over $40,000 for St. Claire Care to help offset some of St. Claire’s charity care. Last year, St. Claire provided over $2.7 million in charity care and another $3.7 million in uncompensated care for families that needed payment assistance but did not meet the charity guidelines.
