Pharmacy Residency Program

Purpose Statement

Pharmacists who complete this residency program will be competent providers of pharmaceutical care, and function expertly as integral members of the healthcare team.  They will implement innovative methods of providing such care in their own practice of pharmacy.  These pharmacists will serve as reliable sources of information on drug therapies for patients, healthcare providers, students and the general public.  As medication safety experts, they will incorporate processes in their practice to assure safe and optimal medication use strategies.  They will demonstrate professional maturity by monitoring their own performance, developing life-long learning strategies, and participating in professional organizations.
