St. Claire Regional Staff & Physicians Donate $15K for Morgan County Tornado Recovery
(l to r) St. Claire Foundation Board Chairman Dan Markwell and St. Claire Foundation Executive Director Tom Lewis present a $15,000 donation for the Morgan County Tornado Relief Fund to Morgan County Judge-Executive Tim Conley and West Liberty Mayor Jim Rupe at Tuesday’s Gateway Area Development District Board of Directors meeting.
St. Claire Regional Medical Center’s staff and physicians have donated $15,000 to assist with ongoing recovery efforts in the wake of tornadoes that battered nearby communities in March.
The money was designated to the Morgan County Tornado Relief Fund during a presentation at Tuesday’s Gateway Area Development District Board of Directors meeting.
“We knew that this recovery effort would take not weeks, but several months and perhaps even years,” said Tom Lewis, St. Claire Foundation Executive Director. “We hope that this gift can help in some small way.”
Lewis was joined in making the presentation by St. Claire Foundation Board Chairman Dan Markwell, a Morgan County native.
“We appreciate the people at St. Claire Regional so much. We appreciate the way you handled this donation, getting the check directly to us,” said Morgan County Judge-Executive Tim Conley.
